Amanda Bortle Thomason, DO

Dr. Amanda Bortle Thomason was born and raised in Athens, Georgia (Go Dawgs!) She earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Georgia campus. She has her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Public Health from the University of Georgia and holds a Master of Science from Mercer University School of Medicine. Dr. Bortle Thomason’s specific interests in medicine include dermatology, behavioral health, and truly serving as a family physician for the entire family. Her holistic approach to patient care is centered around establishing a strong, continuous relationship with her patients while fulfilling the role as their complete healthcare advocate. She and her husband recently moved to Memphis with their senior dog, Wendell Gee. She enjoys cooking, tennis, hiking, trying new restaurants, and of course, College Football. Although her family is back in Georgia, she and her husband are so excited to be in Memphis! Dr. Bortle Thomason will complete her residency training in 2024.
