Merna Beshai, MD

Dr. Beshai was born in Egypt and later immigrated to the United States with her family. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida (UCF), where she also volunteered at local hospitals, laying the foundation for her commitment to community service. She went on to receive her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine (SGU), completing clinical training in both London, United Kingdom, and Miami, Florida.

Drawn to the inclusive nature of Family Medicine, Dr. Beshai values the specialty for its emphasis on continuity of care and the opportunity to build long-term, meaningful relationships with patients. She has a particular interest in preventive care and is deeply committed to serving underserved populations. Additionally, she has a strong interest in academic medicine and enjoys teaching and being involved in collaborative learning environments.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Beshai enjoys traveling, cooking, painting, watching documentaries, and dancing. She is proud to join Baptist Memorial Hospital and looks forward to contributing to its mission.
