Rajasekar Ramar, MD

Dr. Ramar is originally from Chinnasalem, India, earned his medical degree at Rajah Muthiah Medical College. During his time in medical school, he served as the class president and NSS captain, leading impactful health awareness campaigns. Notably, he initiated a peer mentorship program to address addiction and enhance mental health among students. Drawn to family medicine, he values the impact of primary care, from fostering everyday health to managing complex medical conditions. His current interests include palliative care and sleep medicine. Dr. Ramar is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with his patients and bringing a touch of joy to their lives. Beyond medicine, he is enthusiastic about physics and tech gadgets. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Memphis with his wife, who is currently a neurology resident. Set to complete his residency in 2027, Dr. Ramar is excited to contribute to the Baptist Family Medicine Program and serve the community.
