Senior Associate Program Director

Dr. Thomas describes herself as the ultimate native Memphian. Not only was she born and raised in Memphis, she attended college and medical school in Memphis. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee, Memphis where she was trained in “traditional family medicine”. She remained in that department as faculty for 17 years. She later tried her hand in private practice in Memphis but missed teaching residents. She was introduced to the Baptist Memphis Family Medicine program, by former and current faculty, and asked to join their team. She eagerly accepted the position and became part of the faculty in November 2017. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians and board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is currently one of the co associate program directors in the Baptist Memphis Family Medicine program.
