Zaheer Choudhury, MD

Dr. Zaheer Choudhury joined Baptist Memorial Medical Education Family Medicine Residency initially as a resident from 2022-2025, and joined as core faculty in July 2025. He is also a Team Health hospitalist at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born in Queens, New York but spent most of his life in Tennessee. He attended Miami University in Ohio and received a bachelor's degree in Microbiology with minors in Global Health Studies and Ethics, Society and Culture. Following this, he attended University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center for medical school. During residency, Dr. Choudhury was heavily involved in the didactics committee and was passionate about medical education. This led to his role in developing the Academic Medicine Pathway for the residency, allowing himself and other residents to prepare for careers in medical education. Dr. Choudhury's interests include gardening, spending time with his cats, eating and cooking different foods, and playing various video games.
